Your tour starts with a visit to the 13th century Fyvie Castle, which was once home to the young Charles I. Walk round the walled garden, home to many native fruits, then discover all about the ghosts, legends and folklore of this fortress.

Following lunch at the castle, the tour continues to the Glen Garioch Distillery, specialists in producing small batch scotch whisky. Founded over 220 years ago in the heart of an area famed for producing the best barley in Scotland, you will sample some of the distillery's favourite malts, with some local delicacies to try en-route.

The tour then moves to Meldrum House Country Hotel, a charming 13th century baronial mansion house, to enjoy the Glen Garioch Distillery's exclusive whisky pairing meal, served in the 800 year old 1236 Cave Bar, experiencing the best that Aberdeenshire's larder has to offer.
